The Minister of Defense of Ukraine spoke about the failure of the so-called “plan” of the Russian leadership.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, said this in a video message to the Russians on the eve of the New Year.

“On the eve of the new year, I am addressing Russian citizens who are conscripted. First of all, this concerns residents of large Russian cities. I know for a fact that you have about one week left, while there is still at least some choice. At the beginning of January, the Russian authorities will close the borders for men, then martial law will be declared and another wave of mobilization will begin. Borders will also be closed to Belarus,” Reznikov said.

According to him, today Russians are thinking about how to decorate the festive table, but “behind the sound of chimes you may not hear a knock on the door – it’s a military knock.”

Reznikov does not call on Russians to take his word for it, but says that they should ask themselves one question and honestly answer it: “When you go to war, where you can die or become crippled for life, what exactly will you fight for? “.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine said about the failure of the so-called “plan” of the Russian leadership, which it spoke about at the beginning of the war. And the losses of the Russian army already amount to more than 100,000 men, and in order to compensate for these losses, one wave of mobilization has already been carried out, although even in the summer they categorically denied that it would take place and were deceived. According to him, according to this “plan”, tens of thousands of prisoners in the zones are being recruited into a private military company.

“The owner of this company can wipe his feet on the personnel of the Russian military. Although ordinary people are thrown in prison for “discrediting” the army,” said Reznikov.

He emphasized that according to this “plan”, the Russians have been unsuccessfully storming the small Ukrainian town of Bakhmut for six months, placing tens of thousands of soldiers there. He spoke about the flight of Russians from Kharkiv Oblast, Kyiv, Chernihiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast, and Kherson.

The minister stated that, according to this “plan”, Sweden and Finland are ending their accession to NATO, although exactly a year ago people in these countries did not think about NATO and wanted to maintain neutrality.

Reznikov emphasized that those sitting in the Kremlin and bunkers must admit that their plan failed, that they lost, and because of their failure, Russia lost its authority in the world: “people with a Russian passport are now watched not only in Europe, but also in in the Caucasus, in Asia”. According to him, the leadership of Russia has long understood that the prank with the war against Ukraine has turned into a disaster for them and “it is in the interests of Russia to end this war as soon as possible.”

Reznikov said that he is speaking not as a defense minister, but as a lawyer, that “all citizens of Russia will definitely pay indirectly for the unleashed war.”

“Because of the current leaders, Russia will be forced to compensate for the damage caused to Ukraine for several generations. This is inevitable,” he said.

At the same time, he emphasized that those who did not personally participate in crimes, who did not incite war, will lose only part of their income and part of comfort, but they have nothing to fear, even if they voted for the current Russian government.

“Only war criminals will go to the tribunal,” Reznikov stressed.

A new wave of mobilization in the Russian Federation

Ukrainian intelligence predicts that a new wave of mobilization will begin in Russia on January 5 to replenish the army.
