In one of the regions, the sounds of explosions are already being reported.

The Russian invaders launched two groups of Shahed attack drones into the airspace of Ukraine.

“Air. 2 groups of mopeds,” the head of the Mykolaiv military administration, Vitaly Kim, wrote in Telegram.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council, Mykola Lukashuk, also warned about the threat of drone attacks.

“The threat of mopeds. We believe in the Armed Forces,” he wrote.

Around 9 p.m., an air alert was announced in some regions (Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions). Around 22:30, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions also “turned red”.

There are reports of explosions in the Dnipropetrovsk region on social networks, but there is currently no official confirmation of the information.

Shelling of Ukraine on New Year’s Eve

On the night from December 31 to January 1, an air alert lasted for several hours in the central regions of the country.

The Russian invaders attacked, in particular, the Kyiv region with rockets and kamikaze drones. A total of 32 air targets were detected and destroyed. It was reported that the terrorist country tried to hit energy infrastructure facilities.

Later it became known that this night the air defense forces of Ukraine eliminated 45 occupying Shahed kamikaze drones, 13 at midnight, 32 already on January 1.

In the evening of January 1, the General Staff reported that during the day, the enemy carried out 35 airstrikes and fired 16 times from rocket salvo systems, in particular at the children’s hospital in the city of Kherson.
