The total volume of problem loans in the banking system is UAH 429.5 billion.
Against the background of a full-scale Russian invasion, an increase in the share of non-performing loans (NPL) in the banking sector of Ukraine was recorded.
As reported by the NBU press service, as of December 1, the share of non-performing loans was 36.8% compared to 35.5% on November 1.
The amount of non-performing loans increased by UAH 12 billion in December. In November, the volume of NPLs increased by UAH 18.4 billion.
The total volume of problem loans in the banking system is UAH 429.5 billion.
Foreign banking groups account for 17.7% of NPLs, private banks – 22%, the remaining part – for state-owned banks.

On December 2, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the second reading the draft law (No. 7441-1) on writing off loans for housing and cars that were damaged or destroyed during the war.
