Losses of Russian aviation in Ukraine
As of the morning of January 4, 2023, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Russian occupying forces lost 283 aircraft and 270 helicopters in Ukraine.
On December 19, 2022, units of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down two Mi-8 military transport helicopters of the Russian occupation forces. They landed in Donetsk region.
On December 4, Ukrainian defenders shot down another Russian Ka-52 helicopter. The target was destroyed by a unit of the Dnipro anti-aircraft missile brigade of the East Air Command.
