Ukraine should receive Bradley, Marder, Bastion armored personnel carriers, AMX-10 RC armored vehicles, Patriot complexes and others.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that in 2023, the Ukrainian offensive stage of the war to liberate lands occupied by Russian troops will begin.
With the words “believe in Ukraine”, the Secretary of the National Security Council told how the world’s attitude to the Ukrainian War of Independence changed – from a partisan movement to victory. In particular, in January 2022, it was about waging a guerrilla war. In this regard, NLAW hand-held anti-tank missile complexes, Javelin portable anti-tank missile complexes and Stinger missile systems arrived in Ukraine.
Danilov noted on the Facebook social network that in June Western partners started talking about a defensive-counteroffensive war. In particular, Ukraine began to receive HIMARS artillery and missile systems of increased mobility, M777 howitzers, Harpoon missiles, GMLRS shells (they can be fired at a distance of up to 80 km), Excalibur shells, Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers, air defense systems and AHS Krab self-propelled howitzers.
At the same time, as Danilov notes, 2023 will be characterized by an offensive war. Ukraine should receive Bradley, Marder infantry fighting vehicles, Bastion armored personnel carriers, AMX-10 RC armored vehicles, batteries of Patriot air defense systems.
“And many other things are less public and not public at all,” Danilov said.
Also, the secretary of the National Security Council said that the next – fourth – stage of the war will be about “justice and retribution”. He added that the missile and drone programs of Ukraine will be developed in the future.
The end of the war in Ukraine – what is known
In November, the G20 summit was held in Indonesia. At the summit, Zelenskyi presented to the international community the Ukrainian formula for achieving peace and called on foreign leaders to help Ukraine implement it. According to the President of Ukraine, each of the 10 points of the formula is clearly elaborated:
- radiation and nuclear safety;
- food safety;
- energy security;
- the release of all prisoners and deportees;
- implementation of the UN Charter and restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the world order;
- withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities;
- return of justice;
- countering ecocide; preventing escalation;
- recording the end of the war.
On December 12, during a speech at the G7 summit, Zelenskyy named three steps necessary to accelerate peace. This, according to the president, is the provision of modern weapons to Ukraine for protection, preservation of financial, energy and social stability, as well as new diplomatic measures for the release of all Ukrainian prisoners and territories.
This winter, Ukraine is preparing to hold a special summit for the sake of peace.
