President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said this in an evening video message. He noted that defense cooperation with partners was brought to a new level.

“Now our soldiers will have even more weapons, equipment, shells, defense systems, which will make us much more prepared for any escalating plans of Russia and those strikes that the terrorist state inflicts, without distinguishing whether they are holidays or weekdays.” , – the president added.

The head of state reminded that a new and “very powerful” package of American military support for Ukraine was announced today.

“For the first time, we will receive Bradley armored vehicles – this is exactly what is needed. New guns and shells, in particular, high-precision new missiles, new drones. This is timely and strong. The total volume of this package of support from the United States is almost three billion dollars.” – emphasized Zelensky. He thanked US President Joe Biden, congressmen, and all Americans for their help.

The President of Ukraine also noted that Germany has taken a significant step forward to strengthen the security of not only Ukraine, but also the whole of Europe.

“Strengthening our air defense is a direct work for de-escalation here and now,” he emphasized and thanked German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the decision to provide Ukraine with the Patriot air defense system.

At the same time, Zelensky noted that the fewer opportunities Russia has to terrorize peaceful cities, the smaller the overall potential of its aggression will be.
