According to the State Statistics Service, the price of food products increased the most in 2022 – by 36.1%, in particular, the prices of eggs increased by 81.4%, fruits – by 62.6%, and vegetables – by 78.8%.
Oleg Pyendzin, executive director of the Economic Discussion Club, predicts that bread prices will rise in 2023. According to the economist’s forecasts, due to blackouts, general inflation may increase by approximately 2.5-3%. He says prices could soar by 5% in 2023.
