The occupiers are taken to the combat zone in transit through Russia without additional equipment.
Russia has started transferring troops from Belarus from the 2MSD 1 TA (2nd Guards Motorized Rifle Division – ed.) to Ukraine. The military-political observer of the “Information Resistance” group noted that, as predicted, they are beginning to be driven to Luhansk region.
“But there is a nuance. They are now being driven into the combat zone by a direct flow from the Republic of Belarus, transiting through Russia. That is, they are not even left for additional equipment. And I will remind you that in the Republic of Belarus these units had a catastrophic lack of staff, which spoke of the lack of formation on their on the basis of a strike group, which, in turn, minimized the threat of invasion 2.0 from the territory of the RB DOM (Russian occupation forces – ed.),” the expert wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to Kovalenko, it is difficult to say whether they will be able to staff these units directly in the combat zone. However, the answer to this question is more likely no than yes.
“Thus, the units of the 2 MSD 1 TA will be… marching battalions? That is, months of brine in the Belarusian landfills just to prepare minced meat for roasting? Indeed, watching the events that took place in Belarus, I imagined that with these 15 BTGr will try to do something more or less combat-ready and manned, while all the others were just going to the slaughter. But it turned out not to be. They are also being sent simply to the slaughter,” he summarized.
Activity of the Russian military in Belarus
On January 12, it became known that Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Land Forces Oleg Salyukov arrived in Belarus. As reported in the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Salyukov arrived as the head of the commission of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
S-300 and Pantsir anti-aircraft missile complexes were spotted at the airfield in Zyabrivka, Gomel Region, Belarus. Analysts counted an entire division of 9 S-300/S-400 air defense systems, Pantsir anti-aircraft missile defense system, which is standing on an embankment, trucks, as well as several radars, which were identified as 76N6 and 64N6E.
In addition, the Russian special services created a “security company” in Belarus in order to organize provocations under the guise of the Armed Forces and thus involve Belarus in the war against Ukraine.
