It is about filling the positions of highly qualified specialists in the field of atomic energy.
The occupiers are urgently looking for personnel to work at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant based on advertisements in information resources, the mayor of Energodaru Dmytro Orlov reported on the Telegram channel.
“The Russians, who have been at the Zaporizhzhia NPP they have captured for 11 months, at the end were scolded and “rejoiced” in the fact that they are now urgently looking for personnel according to the … advertisement. They massively spread the relevant offers to get a job at the ZNPP “on favorable terms” on their information Orco-resources,” Orlov wrote.
He emphasized that it is about the positions of highly qualified specialists in the field of atomic energy, and sometimes even licensed specialists, who require specific knowledge, high-class training and experience, regular re-certification, training, etc.
“Soon, anyone will be taken from the street – simply by announcements. Do we need to comment further on what this can lead to, if the nuclear plant does not return to full control of Ukraine in the near future, and the armed Russian military does not leave its territory, taking everyone with them” pseudo-experts and pseudo-energy workers, who are recruited based on advertisements?” stressed the mayor of Energodar.
Orlov noted that it is now obvious that “the propagandists’ picture of a large number of Ukrainian nuclear workers who signed contracts with Rosatom – as they claimed, about 3,000 people – does not correspond to reality, and the figure is greatly exaggerated.”
“Ukrainian nuclear workers of the Zaporizhzhia NPP do not want to cooperate with the occupiers. Despite the fact that the energy workers are well aware of the complexity of the situation and their own responsibility. Most of them would continue to go on a shift – despite all the existing risks in the occupied city. Because they understand that the nuclear the plant must be operated, and the issue is not only their personal safety, but ultimately the safety of most of Europe, but the occupiers with their coercive and violent campaign to conclude contracts with Rosatom only intensified the already tense situation and drove themselves into a dead end “, – emphasized the mayor of Energodaru.
Orlov added that energy workers, who have been at the ZNPP for a long time in extremely difficult conditions both psychologically and physically, but remain loyal to their country, need support.
“They are truly heroes who carry an extremely heavy burden on their shoulders. And each of us should realize this,” wrote the mayor of the city.
Occupation of Zaporizhzhya NPP
On March 4, 2022, Russian invaders took control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The occupiers also captured the satellite city of the Energodar NPP. Since November 28, Russian occupiers have not allowed plant workers who refused to sign contracts with Rosatom to enter the territory of the NPP.
Since the beginning of the war, the ZNPP has been constantly shelled, as a result of which the station is regularly cut off.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, about 300 mines left by the Russian occupiers were found in the industrial zone of the nuclear power plant.
In early December, IAEA Director General Raphael Grossi said that he hopes to find a solution to the creation of a safety zone at the Zaporizhia NPP by the end of the year.
