The fatal accident in Odesa occurred near the village of Mayaki.

30% of the rolling stock of the city’s electric transport will go on the routes, the press service of the mayor’s office reports.
It also became known about a fatal road accident in Odesa.
There was a head-on collision between two trucks in Odesa region, the driver from the Vinnytsia region was killed. This was reported in the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa.
It is emphasized that the accident occurred on the highway Odesa – Reni, near the village of Mayaki, on January 14, around 11:00 p.m.
“One person died and one person was injured as a result of a head-on collision between trucks,” the message reads.
It was preliminarily established that a 26-year-old man from Vinnytsia, driving a DAF tractor with a trailer, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Vermeer truck driven by his compatriot, a 25-year-old man from Vinnytsia.
The elderly driver died from his injuries. The younger man was hospitalized with a concussion and bruises.
At the scene of the accident, an investigative and operational group for the investigation of traffic accidents worked. Currently, all the circumstances of the accident are being established. The Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations includes information pursuant to Part 2 of Art. 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules by persons driving vehicles that caused the death of the victim or serious bodily injury) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As reported, after the Russian occupiers carried out massive missile attacks on critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine on December 5 and 10, 2022, problems were observed in Odesa due to damage to these facilities, including public electric transport.
On December 19, trams and trolleybuses resumed their work after a long break, but in the morning of December 29 they stopped running due to the cancellation of the limits. On January 2, 2023, the operation of city electric transport was resumed. Yesterday, January 14, trams and trolleybuses stopped running as a large-scale air alert began in the country.
Today, January 15, transport also did not work. The mayor’s office reported that the reason was the reduction of electricity limits.
