29,543 Russian prisoners were killed, wounded or captured.
The armed forces of Ukraine have already destroyed 77% of Russian prisoners who were sent to war against Ukraine through the private military campaign “Wagner”.
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, announced this on the Twitter microblog.
“PEC “Wagner” removed 38,244 persons from the FSVP (prisons and colonies) for use in genocide through a simplified “procedure”…” Podoliak said.
At the same time, as the adviser to the head of the VP pointed out, the Armed Forces of Ukraine “removed from the register” (killed, wounded, sent to the unknown or captured) – 29 thousand 543.
“The cremation of Russian prisoners is now 77%,” Podolyak stressed.
The war in Ukraine and the “Wagnerians”:
Until 2022, the private army of Russian oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, known as the “Wagner group” or “PMC Wagner”, was staffed with mercenaries from among the former Russian military and police. But against the background of the scale of the current invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, Prigozhin decided to increase the number of his group at the expense of prisoners from Russian prisons.
At the moment, many amnestied convicts are fighting in the ranks of the PMC. The command of the Russian Federation does not hide why they need them. “Prisoners” are deliberately sent into battle without food. This decision is due to the clear awareness that prisoners do not live long in the war.
“Wagnerivtsi” concentrated in Bakhmut and Soledar. The storming of Soledar in the Donetsk region and other cities cost Wagner huge losses. We are talking about tens of thousands of corpses.
The “Wagner Group” became infamous in the war as a unit with the highest mortality rate among all Russian forces.
