As experts say, calmness can save your life. Try not to panic if you find yourself under rubble.
Journalists on the air of “Breakfast with 1+1” told what to do if you find yourself under rubble. A clear algorithm of actions can save life even at a critical moment.
At least 120 Ukrainians escaped after a Russian missile hit a house in Dnipro. DSNSKs say: the fact that people survived is a real miracle. Many people find themselves trapped at the moment of collapse, and panic begins in most of them. However, it is calm that can save lives, says paramedic Yaroslav Vus.
So, what to do if you find yourself under rubble (paramedic advice):
- if a person is bleeding, it should be stopped with improvised means;
- lie on your side, in case of unconsciousness, the airways will remain open;
- carefully release the limbs if they are pressed;
- shout only in moments of “silence”, save strength and air; even better to blow the whistle;
- wait and do not disassemble the debris yourself.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also gave advice on how to save life under landslides:
- do not touch the parts in the room where everything is kept;
- knock on the batteries;
- follow the two-wall rule if you are not in cover during an airstrike.
