Players will no longer drift left for no reason.
Bugs in games are a frequent phenomenon. Usually, developers try to quickly correct errors so that users do not spoil the impression of the project. But if any small defects are found, then their removal can take many years. All because such bugs do not interfere with the gameplay and the developers do not waste time on eliminating the problem. A clear example is the bug with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim dummies when they started tracking users. It was fixed only after 11 years, and now a similar case happened in Minecraft.
A Mojang Studios project from 2012 had a strange bug. When players received damage, they moved to the left by inertia. Logically, they should be thrown in the opposite direction from the source of damage. However, the system experienced a failure that was initially detected in multi-user mode. And when in 2013 the multiplayer and the single player were combined together, the bug became relevant for the entire game.
The problem was listed in the list of found bugs and there it hung until the recent update. “Beta” patch Minecraft 23W03A fixed the bug. And after a short test, the update will be implemented on the main servers, and then the shortcoming can be forgotten.
We will remind you that this is not the first case of fixing a bug for Minecraft after ten years. In February 2022, the developers adjusted the display of water in cells located diagonally.
