Such a scheme for the supply of ammunition to Ukraine does not affect the readiness of American forces to protect the interests of the United States.
The Pentagon confirmed that the United States is transferring ammunition to Ukraine from warehouses in Israel and South Korea. This makes it possible to quickly provide the Ukrainian military with everything necessary and does not affect the combat capability of the American army.
“We supply Ukraine with various munitions, materials, weapons and equipment on a fairly regular basis. And in part to ensure that we can do this quickly, we cooperate with the Republic of Korea and Israel when it comes to withdrawing from our warehouses (in South Korea and of Israel – ed.)”, said Deputy Press Secretary of the US Ministry of Defense Sabrina Singh during the briefing.
Singh noted that this scheme of supplying ammunition to Ukraine does not affect the readiness of American forces to protect US interests at home and abroad.
US aid to Ukraine
Washington intends to transfer Stryker armored fighting vehicles to the Ukrainian army, as well as small-sized high-precision munitions GLSDB (this is a combination of an aerial bomb with a rocket engine).
In addition, the administration of US President Joe Biden will send $125 million for electrical components and other materials that will help Ukraine cope with the repair of energy infrastructure facilities after the Russian strikes.
