The Minister of Defense of Ukraine predicts that “there will be a continuation”.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, reported on a frank conversation about the Leopard 2 tanks with the Minister of Defense of Germany, Boris Pistorius.
Reznikov noted this on his Twitter account after the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (the so-called “Ramstein-8”).
“I congratulated Boris Pistorius on his appointment to a new position. We spoke frankly about Leopard 2. There will be a continuation. I also thanked the German government and the German people for military assistance to Ukraine and hospitality at Ramstein-8,” Reznikov wrote in the evening.

The Secretary of Defense of the United States of America, Lloyd Austin, said after the Ramstein-8 meeting that there is no decision to provide Ukraine with German Leopard main battle tanks, as well as American M1 Abrams tanks. The USA criticized Germany’s indecision regarding Leopard tanks for Ukraine.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, said that Ukrainian tankers will begin training on German Leopard 2 tanks, although there have been no announcements about their provision yet.
