Russia wants to continue receiving weapons from the DPRK.
The US has handed over evidence to the UN that North Korea is helping the Russian Federation with weapons.
White House National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby showed reporters in Washington satellite images showing that on November 18, five Russian rail cars left Russia for North Korea.
“The next day, North Korea loaded these railway cars and containers, after which the train returned to Russia,” he said.
Kirby added that military aid to Pyongyang has not changed the dynamics of hostilities in Ukraine, but Russia seeks to continue receiving weapons from North Korea.
North Korea’s assistance to Russia in the war against Ukraine
John Kirby, the strategic communications coordinator at the US National Security Council, said that North Korea is secretly supplying Russia with a significant number of artillery shells. At the end of 2022, the DPRK provided the party with the Wagner PMC weapon.
During the meeting of the UN Security Council, the current US representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, said that North Korea continues to plan to supply Russia with weapons.
