The speaker of the State Duma stated that military aid to Ukraine “could end in a tragedy on a global scale.”
The head of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, commenting on the results of “Ramstein-8”, said that strikes on Russia by Western weapons “will lead to retaliatory measures with more powerful weapons.”
Putin’s litter added that American, French and German deputies “must realize their responsibility to humanity.”
Volodin, despite the number of civilian deaths from Russian attacks, still claims that Russia strikes “only military infrastructure”, while admitting to striking critical targets.
The head of the State Duma also stated that military aid to Ukraine “could end in a tragedy on a global scale.” “Arguments that nuclear states have not previously used weapons of mass destruction in local conflicts are untenable. Because these states did not face a situation when there was a threat to the safety of their citizens and the territorial integrity of the country,” Volodin claims.
The eighth meeting in the Rammstein format – what is known
Although they did not agree to supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine at the Ramstein-8 meeting on January 20, the Ukrainian military will still be sent for training.
In Ukraine, the results of the meeting are openly criticized, since Kyiv expected the West to transfer a large amount of armored vehicles, including German tanks.
At the same time, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov noted that not all aid was publicly announced, some remains behind the scenes.
On the eve of Ramstein, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted that new aid packages will allow Ukraine to go on the offensive.
The president’s office expects that the next meeting in the Rammstein format will be an “aviation” one.
