Frank Lampard lasted just under a year as Everton coach.
The English “Everton”, whose colors are defended by the defender of the national team of Ukraine Vitaliy Mikolenko, dismissed the head coach of the team, Frank Lampard.
The information about the dismissal of the 44-year-old specialist was confirmed by the official website of the Liverpool club.
“The commitment and dedication of Frank and his team has been exemplary throughout their time at the club, but recent results and the current league position have meant that this difficult decision has had to be made. We wish Frank and all his team the best of luck in their future matches.
The club has begun the search for a new manager and will provide updated information on the appointment in due course. Paul Tait and Leighton Baines will continue training until a new manager is appointed,” the club said in an official statement.
Frank Lampard was appointed as manager of Everton on January 31, 2022.
Under his leadership, the Toffees played 44 matches in all competitions, of which they won only 12 matches and suffered 24 defeats.
According to the results of the last season, the Toffees managed to keep their place in the Premier League. Everton finished the league in 16th place, only 4 points clear of the relegation zone.
In the current EPL season, the team has only won three games (the fewest of all teams), and they have drawn twice in their last eight meetings and conceded the remaining six matches.
During Frank Lampard’s tenure, Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko established himself in Everton’s main team. During this time, the Ukrainian played in 35 matches of the Toffees in all tournaments.
According to talkSPORT, the management of “Everton” is considering Marcelo Bielsa and Sean Dyche as the main candidates to replace Lampard.
Bielsa was previously the manager of Leeds United. Thanks to him, the club managed to return to the Premier League 16 years after relegation.
Sean Dyche previously coached Burnley, who are currently in the Championship. He spent 10 years at the club and was released in February 2022. Under his leadership, the team returned to the Premier League twice, and also took its highest seventh place, thanks to which it participated in the Europa League.
In addition, Ralf Hasenhüttle and Wayne Rooney are also rumored to be under consideration by the Toffees management.
