The enemy will try to put pressure on Kupyansk, believes Serhiy Zgurets.
Serhiy Zgurets, the director of the Defense Express information and consulting company, suggested that the occupiers could defend themselves in the Luhansk region near the town of Troitske, and then launch a counterattack on the Kharkiv region from this point.
“Luhansk Region is one of the directions for the advancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the depths of Luhansk region, on the accumulation of Russian equipment and warehouses, strikes were carried out by our long-range systems. This dynamic creates tension for the Russian troops, but the Russians are not ready to leave their positions. In the Kupyansk area, using supplies , the enemy is trying to saturate this area of the front as much as possible on its own, and Russian counterattacks in these directions are not excluded,” Zgurets told the Espresso TV channel.
Zgurets added that the Russian Federation will try to put pressure on Kupyansk, which was deoccupied in September last year.
“That’s why significant groups of Russian forces are now moving there. The units that were being trained in Belarus are now also moving to the borders of Luhansk region in order to have a reserve of forces,” the expert noted.
Deoccupation of Kharkiv region: how it was
In September of last year, servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted the Balaklia-Kupian liberation operation, and the final was the liberation of the city of Izyum.
The defenders of Ukraine took advantage of the escape of the Rashists from the region and “captured” a lot of military equipment.
