Soldiers of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian attack aircraft Su-25. “Bird” was eliminated in the eastern direction.

According to the Air Force Command, the Russian Su-25 was shot down by anti-aircraft guns of the brigade named after Hetman Pylyp Orlyk.

“On January 27, 2023, in the eastern direction, another Russian Su-25 attack aircraft was shot down by a unit of the anti-aircraft missile brigade named after Hetman Pylyp Orlyk of the “South” air command,” the PS said.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine land Russian “birds”

Recently, the Air Force has increasingly reported the destruction of Russian attack aircraft and combat helicopters at the front. “Birds” most often land in the direction of Bakhmut. On January 24, the Armed Forces shot down three Russian Ka-52 attack helicopters and a Su-25 attack aircraft.

On January 25, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed two enemy Su-25 aircraft, a Ka-52 helicopter, four UAVs of the Orlan-10 type and one of the Supercam type.

As noted in the Air Force, the Russian invaders began to use helicopters and airplanes more often on the front line due to the intensification of hostilities near Bakhmut in Donetsk region.
