Italy is ready to continue to defend the independence of Ukraine by transferring the weapons needed for defense.
But there is no question of the transfer of offensive weapons, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Rai3.
“The military situation in Ukraine is very difficult, we are very worried. We are all working for peace and, as the parliament decided, we are ready to send defensive weapons. We will never send offensive weapons, because we are not at war with Russia. We have nothing to do with Russian people, we are only defending the independence of Ukraine,” the minister said.

Last week, the head of the Italian Foreign Ministry, Antonio Tajani, said that his country had provided military aid to Ukraine in the total amount of about one billion euros.
