According to the president, the enemy is constantly trying to break through Ukrainian defenses in Donetsk region.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy notes that Ukraine is doing everything to ensure that its pressure outweighs the assault capabilities of the Russian occupiers.

He said this in his video message, stressing that he held another meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief today, at which the main attention was paid to the situation at the front – primarily in the Donetsk region and in the southern directions.

“The situation is very tough. Bakhmutsky, Vugledarsky and other directions in the Donetsk region are constant Russian assaults, constant attempts to break through our defenses. The enemy does not count people and, despite its numerous losses, maintains a high intensity of attacks,” said Zelensky.

He added that in some of its wars, Russia generally lost less than it put in there, in particular under Bakhmut.

“And this can only be countered by extreme resilience and a full understanding that by defending Donetsk region, our soldiers are defending the whole of Ukraine. Because every stopped step of the enemy right there is dozens of unacceptable steps of the occupiers in other directions,” the president emphasized.

In addition, he added, at the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander, commanders of operational areas and the Minister of Defense reported on the nature of the enemy’s actions, on Ukraine’s response to it, on the supply of ammunition and equipment to combat units.

In turn, the head of intelligence reported on how the situation may change in the near future.

“We are doing everything so that our pressure still outweighs the offensive capabilities of the occupier,” Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that it is important to maintain the dynamics of defense support from Ukraine’s partners.

“The speed of supply was and will be one of the key factors in this war,” the president noted.
