The deputy head of the Migration Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine was exposed as the head of a criminal organization that engaged in pimping and “crushed” brothels in Kyiv.

As reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, it was established that the criminal group included 15 people who ensured the operation of places of debauchery in the capital, as well as engaged in pimping on the territory of Ukraine and beyond.

“According to the investigation, … an official of the National Police recruited two citizens of Ukraine, who created an extensive network of salons providing intimate services on the territory of Kyiv. They rented apartments in the central areas of the capital, which were furnished for the provision of intimate services. Young girls were invited to “work” in between the ages of 18 and 30,” the report says.

It is emphasized that drivers who were employees of the police, state authorities and state enterprises and had special permits to move around the city at night were involved in the transportation of girls to clients during the curfew.

In addition, the head of one of the structural subdivisions of the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv was involved in the activities of the criminal organization – he ensured the elimination of competing “salons”, recruited girls who worked in competitors’ salons, and later, with the permission of the head of the criminal organization, began to create his own network . brothels

Criminals also developed the direction of providing elite escort services, including for clients abroad.

“For this, the deputy head of the Department, imitating the performance of the tasks assigned to his unit, initiated searches of persons who could be involved in pimping, and during investigative actions “recruited” them,” the ODP said.

The SBU added that the perpetrators selected girls “with a vulnerable psycho-emotional state.” In addition, they created a network of specialized groups in messengers, where they looked for female citizens to provide intimate services for money, including “escorts”. The pimps offered them “trips” to clients in various regions of Ukraine, and also sent them abroad. The cost of “services” ranged from $500 to $10,000 per night. The monthly “profit” of the organizers of illegal business amounted to more than UAH 50 million.

So far, law enforcement officers have conducted more than 30 searches at the addresses of brothels and at the places of residence and work of members of the criminal group, as well as at the administrative buildings of the National Police.

15 people were detained, they were informed about the suspicion. The issue of selecting preventive measures is being resolved.
