The Game Informer portal continues to share new information about Resident Evil 4 – the main game of the new edition of its magazine. The publication published a 13-minute gameplay demonstration of the project, in which you can evaluate the graphics and various mechanics in detail.

The video begins with the escape of Leon Kennedy and the daughter of the President of the United States, Ashley Graham, from the church. Then the main character makes a phone call with his operator and receives an order to take the girl out of the village of occultists. Along the way, the protagonist collects various resources. This includes ammo, crafting materials, and valuable items for sale. Separate stocks are well hidden, for example, in a nest in a tree, which must be shot down. On the map, you can see whether the player has collected all the resources.

There is a new location in the area of ​​the church added to the remake, but the journalists did not show it. Instead, they demonstrated the battles. Leon fires a variety of weapons and performs finishing touches. Ashley follows the main character everywhere, who can give her commands.

The video also shows the location research process. The protagonist and his companion climb into the houses through the windows, go out into the open space and look for a way to get into the closed area. And the video ends with a fragment of the defense of the house against crowds of enemies. In this fight, Leon is helped by a stranger named Luis Sirca.

Resident Evil 4 remake – the main details

• The basic plot of the game will remain unchanged. However, the story is planned to be supplemented with several episodes and to reveal the characters better.
• Ashley will no longer be a burden to the players. The girl will not have to be told to hide, but other commands can be used. And if the companion receives many losses, she will have to be helped to get back on her feet.
• The developers will also improve individual gameplay mechanics, add new locations and expand old ones, completely redraw the graphics and replace the sound.
• Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released on March 24, 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Series S.
