Russian occupying forces have changed their assault tactics near Bakhmut in Donetsk region. For the first time, the enemy stormed the city along the 7 km front at the same time, but the Ukrainian military positions did not surrender.
As Andriy Kryvushchenko, deputy company commander of the Svoboda battalion of the National Guard, told on the Espresso channel, the situation in Bakhmut is steadily tense, as it was in the previous months, during which the Russians are trying to capture the city. According to him, everyone understands very well that the enemy can’t do anything.
However, the occupiers came very close to one of the tracks. The military noted that very active battles are taking place there.
“The Russians changed their tactics – for the first time, the enemy simultaneously carried out assaults on a 7-km front, the distance between enemy soldiers was 20-30 meters. This was all with the support of heavy artillery. The active phase of the assault lasted an hour, and the withdrawal of the troops took up to three hours. The position was not was surrendered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was our small victory,” Kryvushchenko summarized.

Volodymyr Nazarenko, deputy commander of the “Freedom” battalion in the 4th operational brigade of the National Guard, said that the Russian occupiers continue to concentrate significant forces to capture Bakhmut. The enemy is suffering heavy losses every day.
The Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi noted that the Bakhmut district and the city itself were prepared for defense in advance. On the other hand, this area has certain relief features.
Military journalist Andrii Tsaplienko noted that the Russians are still trying to surround Bakhmut. They have blocked the route from the north, they also completely control the east. Currently, the occupiers want to “cut” the Bakhmut – Kostyantynivka highway. The enemy is trying to repeat the Severodonetsk scenario there.
