“Everything will be fine, brother, you will live” – with these words the Polish paramedic reassured the seriously wounded Ukrainian soldier. The video of this touching moment went viral on all social networks. Damian Duda is the name of a paramedic who lives in Warsaw.
Damian told TSN journalists why the war in Ukraine became his war and about the extremely difficult evacuations.
So, the network captured a video of how Polish medics evacuated a Ukrainian soldier wounded in the head from Soledar. “It was not an ordinary evacuation, it was a race against time and death. He was handed over to us by Ukrainian mortars. Wounded, he was bleeding and breathing hard, his vital parameters were constantly falling. I turned him over on his side so that he could breathe. Fortunately , we managed to get him there, he survived,” says Damian.
Duda is an art critic, he was in Syria and Iraq, he went to the front of Ukraine since 2014, and now he is evacuating the wounded in the Bakhmut direction. Damian says that he is impressed by how courageous Ukrainian defenders are.
