Yakub Yankto was the first national team player to openly declare that he is gay.
The famous midfielder of the national team of the Czech Republic, Jakub Yankto, made a coming-out.
The 27-year-old football player posted a video on his Twitter page in which he described in detail the reasons why he decided to tell the truth.
“Hi, I’m Jakub Yankto. Like everyone, I have my strengths. I have my weaknesses. I have a family. I have friends. I have a job that I’ve been doing as well as I can for years, seriously, professionally and with passion.
Like everyone else, I also want to live freely. Without fears. Without prejudice. Without violence. But with love. I am a homosexual and I don’t want to hide anymore,” said Yakub Yankto.

It is worth noting that the football player was recently happily married to the beautiful brunette Marketa Osmanska, with whom he has a son, David.
Jakub Jankto is known for his performances in the Italian championship. He played 155 matches for Udinese and Sampdoria. In 2021, the Czech midfielder moved to the Spanish “Getafe”, but from the summer of 2022 he plays for the Czech “Sparta” on loan.
Yankto is one of the most experienced football players of the current Czech national team. He has 45 matches in the national team and 4 goals.
