“The Mandalorian” – what is known about the third season
The Mandalorian series from the Star Wars franchise tells the story of bounty hunter Dean Jarine, who belongs to the Mandalorian clan of powerful space warriors who were once enemies of the Jedi. At the beginning of the series, the hero was tasked with delivering a cargo, which turned out to be a small green creature that looked like Master Yoda. Realizing that the customers have insidious plans for the baby, the Mandalorian kidnaps him, takes him under his care and promises to reunite him with the Jedi. Gradually they become friends.
In season 2, Mando gives Grog (the so-called baby) to be raised by Luke Skywalker, but in the series “The Book of Boba Fett” he decides to abandon his Jedi training and returns to Dean Jarin. The latter, moreover, in season 2, for Grog’s sake, violates the main rule of the Mandalorian code, which they must strictly observe – never take off their helmet. At the same time, he learns about the existence of different groups of Mandalorians who do not have such strict rules.
In season 3, judging by the trailers, Dean Jarin will go to the destroyed planet Mandalore to atone for breaking the code. At the same time, an important role in the season will be played by Bo-Katan Kryze – the former ruler of Mandalore and the leader of a group of less conservative Mandalorians called “Night Owls”. It will be recalled that in order to have the right to claim the throne of Mandalore again, she must take possession of the black lightsaber that Dean Jarin currently possesses in battle.
The main role in the series is still performed by Pedro Pascal (“Game of Thrones”, “Narco”, “The Last of Us”, “Wonder Woman 1984”, “Triple Line”, “The Unbearable Burden of Huge Talent”).
The script for all the episodes of the 3rd season was written by Jon Favreau, who, in fact, is the author of the series “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett”. The season will have 8 episodes, airing once a week from March 1 to April 19, 2023.
