The representative of the department noted that if Russia could launch more missiles, it would definitely do so.
Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the attacks with a small number of missiles, atypical for Russia, were probably due to a lack of ammunition. At the same time, the enemy wants to keep Ukrainians in suspense before the anniversary of a full-scale invasion.
On the air of the telethon, Ignat also commented on today’s atypical missile attack by the Russian Federation with the launch of only four missiles. He noted that Russia is changing its tactics somewhat. In addition to single strikes, night rocket attacks also appeared.
“We could do more – we would definitely hit harder and with more missiles, that’s obvious. The enemy is now escalating the situation. Everyone is now talking about the “sacred dates” approaching on February 23 and the next day, the anniversary of the invasion of our land,” he said Ignat.
Missile attacks on Ukraine
Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, predicted that Russia is planning a massive attack on February 24, the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine.
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, is also sure that the occupiers are trying to accumulate a sufficient amount of missiles to carry out a massive three-minute cascade. In this way, they want to show on the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine that they still have “powder in the powder keg”.
The last shelling took place in the morning of February 18. An alarm signal went off in all regions of Ukraine, after which Russia launched four “Caliber” missiles from the Black Sea in the direction of mainland Ukraine. Two rockets were shot down by air defense forces.
