US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated during the Munich Security Conference that the US is interested in a just and stable world in Ukraine. He also expressed confidence that Ukraine will win the war started by Russia.

According to CNN, Blinken emphasized that any world must comply with the principles of the UN Charter. In addition, it is to the benefit of all countries to make sure that Russia’s attempt to seize Ukrainian territories by force will not be validated.

“If we do this, we will open a Pandora’s box around the world, and every potential aggressor will conclude that if Russia can get away with it, we can get away with it. And this is not in anyone’s interests, because it is a recipe for peaceful conflicts,” the US Secretary of State noted.

At the same time, he added that a strong world means that Ukraine will have the tools to stop attempts at aggression before it escalates in the future. The world must “do everything in our power to make sure that Russia simply does not attack again in a year, in five years.”

“So even as we do everything we can to give Ukraine the help it needs now to fight Russian aggression, we have to think – and we do think – about what the post-war future will look like to ensure security and stability for Ukrainians, as well as security and stability in Europe,” he explained.

Blinken added that the US “has no doubts about the victory and success of Ukraine.”

“And there is a simple, good reason for this – regardless of anything else, including the support we provide. The biggest single difference is that Ukrainians are fighting for their own country, for their future, for their land. The Russians are not,” – summed up the US Secretary of State.

The war in Ukraine: what will be the victory

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, said that Ukraine’s victory in the war with Russia would mean not only the liberation of Ukrainian territories, but also the strengthening of the Armed Forces so that Russia would never again be able to attack Ukraine.

At the same time, 85% of surveyed Ukrainians believe that the victory in the war against the Russian Federation will be the liberation of all territories of Ukraine, including the temporarily occupied Crimea and Donbas.
