The president emphasized that Ukraine maintains a “diplomatic pace”.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that the second half of this week will be even more active from the point of view of international relations. He emphasized that the “diplomatic marathon to strengthen Ukraine and protect international law, which gives our state more security” was continued.
During the evening video message on February 22, the President noted that in the conversation with the President of Pakistan, the absolute importance of maintaining full strength and respect for the UN Charter, the independence of nations and the integrity of states was noted, and our efforts to ensure food security and the existing threats to such security were discussed.
“I spoke with the President of Estonia today. He thanked Ukraine for its constant support at all levels. This is support both with weapons and sanctions against Russia, and political support, in particular in European and Euro-Atlantic structures. Today we discussed the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius and our expectations in the context of integration of Ukraine. We are already preparing for these future events,” Zelenskyy added.
He also reminded that the first conversation between the presidents of Ukraine and Uganda in the history of bilateral relations took place today. In particular, the leaders of the states discussed the peace initiatives that Ukraine is promoting at the UN platform, the principled position of Ukraine regarding the protection of international law and the potential of bilateral cooperation.
“Already in the evening I spoke with the Prime Minister of Great Britain. We are working very strongly together with Great Britain to strengthen our soldiers, to bring our joint victory closer, to implement our defense agreements that were reached during my visit to London. And it would be very good , if all our partners, like Britain, understood how the speed of defense supplies affects concrete successes on the battlefield,” the head of state emphasized.
According to Zelenskyi, he and Sunak also discussed “important political issues that should be resolved already this week.”
“The second half of the week will be even more active from the point of view of international relations. We are maintaining the diplomatic pace,” the president emphasized.
