The expert explained who Putin’s speech was for and what the dictator said “between the lines”.

Political technologist and writer Mykhailo Sheitelman believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s speech before the Federal Assembly was primarily addressed to his supporters, who already support him.
“It seems to me that I discovered the main secret of this speech. No one has discovered it, and I am the first and the only one who understood what it is about. Each speech has its target audience, and the target audience of this speech by Putin was his supporters. That is, he appealed to those who already support him. And this is necessary from time to time. We know this from any political technology, that you need to support your audience all the time on a kind of “slow fire”, – the expert explained on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
According to the political scientist, the Russian dictator had to explain to this audience that it was his.
“So let’s take it into two parts and divide it. First, these are the people who were sitting in the hall, they are his accomplices. They needed to hear that Putin is there. What he will tell them the truth is not important at all, the words themselves are not important,” he continued.
Scheitelman recalled that during his speech, Putin continued to assert that everything is fine in Russia with the economy, and the situation in the country itself is also normal. At the same time, according to the expert, the Russian dictator declared between the lines that the war will never end.
“He didn’t say those words, but he basically said it. Remember what he said about the war: ‘Now we have those on the front lines getting 14 days off every six months.’ You see, every six months, and it means that these six months will still be a long time ahead, then he said that when Ukraine receives long-range means of defeat, we will have to push Ukraine even further, that is, it is supposed to mean that this war will not end, the front line will simply shift back and forth. , according to Putin,” Sheitelman explained his opinion.
At the same time, in his speech, the President of the Russian Federation did not say that the war would end in victory for Russia. He noted that “the Sea of Azov is now Russia’s internal sea and there is a land corridor to Crimea.”
“That is, he noted that these are conquests. Here, by the way, he will have to answer. That is, as soon as our troops liberate Melitopol, Berdyansk, he will have to answer for it,” the expert emphasized.
The political scientist also commented on Putin’s statement about Russia’s withdrawal from the international treaty on nuclear weapons. The expert believes that it is even beneficial for Ukraine and its partners.
“While both the United States and Russia were inside this agreement, neither side could improve their nuclear weapons. But today, the United States will, of course, improve its missiles and generally develop its nuclear potential, and they will have an advantage,” the political scientist emphasized. .
Putin’s speech on February 21
On February 21, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a message to the Federal Assembly. The dictator issued a new batch of delusions about the war that Russia has unleashed against Ukraine, declaring that the Russian Federation “is not at war with the people of Ukraine.”
Putin also could not avoid the topic of “traditional values” for Russians. He said that no one is going to break into the private life of Russians, but the citizens of the Russian Federation are obliged to “protect children from degradation and degeneration.”
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, ridiculed the message of the President of the Russian Federation. He emphasized that Putin’s stories about Nazis, Martians and references to “conspiracy theories” against Russia are no longer interesting to anyone, and the dictator himself only showed his own confusion and irrelevance.
