Already in the near future, almost half of household and household chores will be performed by workers. Experts in artificial intelligence believe that the changes will take place within the next decade.

Among these tasks will be cleaning, shopping, moving heavy objects, primary customer service and helping the elderly, including operating wheelchairs in hospitals, according to the study published in the scientific medical journal Plus One.

It is predicted that the least jobs will be involved in teaching or accompanying a child, or caring for elderly relatives – 29%. At the same time, technology is expected to reduce the time we spend shopping for products by 60%, experts say.

Kateryna Hertog, an associate professor at Oxford University’s Department II, noted that increased automation can help improve gender equality, as women will be able to devote more time to professional activities and less time to household chores.

At the same time, there are fears that the use of domestic robots will further accentuate the disparity between rich and poor. Such humanoid robots are expected to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Also, the introduction of a large number of technologies can negatively affect people’s privacy, because robots will collect information.
