Repair work there will continue without interruption.
On February 23, 2023, Russian occupying forces shelled Kherson. As a result of the impact, the main pipeline, which provides heating for about 600 houses, was damaged.
As President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his video message, more than 40,000 people were left without heat. The head of state noted that during the evening he received detailed reports on the situation in Kherson.
“There, as a result of another Russian attack, the main pipeline, which provided heating for about 600 houses – more than 40 thousand people, was damaged,” he emphasized.
Zelenskyi said that repair work there will continue continuously until the heat supply is restored.
“And we will restore! Whatever these Russian terrorists and monsters do, we will restore everything,” the president assured.
The situation in the Kherson region
Serhiy Khlan, adviser to the head of the Kherson regional military administration, said that military units of the Russian Federation, in particular machine gunners, were stationed in Kakhovka and Nova Kakhovka. In his opinion, provocations and new shelling of the right bank of the region are possible.
In addition, in the occupied part of the Kherson region, the invaders are threatening to evict all locals without Russian passports from the beginning of March. The occupying forces, together with the “police”, also increased checks at checkpoints.
At the same time, the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South, Nataliya Gumenyuk, noted that the current morale and psychological state of Russian troops on the left bank of the Kherson region resembles that of the occupiers when they were expecting a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the right bank.
