More than 4,000 fighter units were released. They can carry all kinds of weapons.
American F-16 fighter jets are the best option for Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said on the air of the telethon.
He noted that it is impossible to put several types of foreign aircraft into service in Ukraine, as each requires an individual approach to maintenance and repair.
“It is impossible to put several types of aircraft into service. They need to be serviced… The path that Ukraine has already decided to take is a single type of multi-purpose aircraft. That is, there should be a single type in service with all brigades. This will simplify its maintenance, simplify the execution of tasks from different locations.” , – said Ignat.
According to him, if we consider the “F” line, then F-16 is needed for Ukraine. “Because there are many of these aircraft in the world. This is the most common aircraft. More than 4,000 of it were produced. The aircraft has undergone several stages of modernization. And it can carry all types of weapons,” explained the spokesman of the Armed Forces Command of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
