The temperature in the capital will soon rise again to +6°…+7°.
In Kyiv today and tomorrow, December 24, cold weather is expected with temperatures around zero. But already from Christmas, December 25, the weather will change – a sharp warming is expected to +6°…+7°. This is evidenced by data from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to forecasters, in the next few days the weather in the Kiev region will be determined by a field of low pressure with atmospheric fronts from the west, so sometimes there will be light wet snow.
More intense precipitation is expected on December 25, but due to rising temperatures during the daytime, the snow will turn to rain.
“Starting Tuesday, the high pressure field from the west will begin to influence, so precipitation will stop, and the temperature will be above zero,” the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center predicts.
On the weekend of December 23 and 24, a short-term cold snap is expected in Ukraine with precipitation, ice on the roads and wind speed up to 15-20 m/s.
According to forecaster Igor Kibalchich, thanks to stable western and northwestern air flows, cold air from the rear part of the cyclone will begin to enter our country. Because of this, the temperature background in most areas will decrease by 4-7 °C.
