Russian troops shelled a border village in the Chernihiv region during the distribution of bread. This was reported in the communications sector of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region.
According to information, on Saturday, December 23, the Russian army attacked with a drone civilians who were brought bread to one of the border villages of the Novgorod-Seversky district.
“Bread was being distributed to peaceful people in the center of the village, and at that time the invaders carried out a cynical attack from a drone. Fortunately, no people were injured. A car with bread was cut by shrapnel,” the police statement said.
The consequences of the enemy attack were documented by police from the Novgorod-Seversky regional police department. Investigators began criminal proceedings under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the laws and customs of war).
Shelling of Ukrainian cities
On Sunday, December 24, Russian occupation forces covered Chernobaevka, Kherson region, with fire. A 37-year-old woman was killed as a result of enemy shelling. Her body was found in a destroyed building.
In addition, the Russians struck Kherson, hitting a residential building. Two people died – an 87-year-old man and his 81-year-old wife. A 54-year-old Kherson resident was injured. He received a blast injury, a bruise and a leg wound.
