What not to eat with vodka
Lightly salted tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, lard, lightly salted fish – these are the most popular treats for such an alcoholic drink as vodka. However, nutritionists and gastroenterologists say that such a snack can lead to serious problems.
For example, why you can’t snack on vodka with mushrooms is because morels or pickled mushrooms – dangerous product. If you snack on vodka, you risk getting allergies or nausea, so if you want mushrooms, it’s better to get by with porcini mushrooms, chanterelles or boletus mushrooms.
Few people know why not snacking on vodka and melon, especially pickled or canned – any fruit in combination with strong alcoholic drinks leads to flatulence, bloating and colic. This same point explains whether it is possible snack on vodka with an apple – absolutely not. You should only cut fruit for an appetizer if you are drinking white wine.
What not to eat with cognac
The most popular treats for cognac lovers are lemon and chocolate, however, both of these products were included in the prohibited list. Firstly, they interrupt the taste of cognac and prevent you from enjoying the drink. Very often, lemon is served with poor quality cognac so that a person does not feel the catch – this is the reason why cognac should not be enjoyed with lemon. Secondly, chocolate, cakes, candies and other sweets will begin to dissolve first in the stomach, because glucose is more important for the body. Alcohol will be left “for later”, the result is a sharp jump in insulin, rapid intoxication and a severe hangover. Women most often drink exactly this type of alcohol – wine and champagne, especially on New Year’s Day. That’s why it’s important to remember what you shouldn’t eat it with – general recommendations apply to chocolate, sweets, ice cream. At best, you will simply spoil the taste of the drink and not feel the full “bouquet”; at worst, you will feel terrible and have a terrible hangover.
