The Cabinet of Ministers has increased the terms and amounts of providing employers with compensation for labor costs for employing IDPs.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) has increased the deadlines and amounts for providing employers with compensation for labor costs for employing internally displaced persons (IDPs), in particular those with disabilities. This decision was made at a government meeting, according to the CMU website.
It is noted that the government has increased the total duration of providing compensation for expenses from two to three months to the employer for the employment of IDPs and to 6 months for the employment of IDPs with disabilities.
“The amount of compensation itself will also change. If previously they were paid based on the amount of 6,700 UAH per month, now such compensation is tied to the amount of the minimum wage, which from January 1 will be 7,100 UAH, and from April 1 – 8,000 UAH,” the message says .
The Cabinet of Ministers clarified that if an employer hires an IDP, then next year he will receive the right to compensation of up to 24 thousand hryvnia for such a person.
“If this is an IDP from among persons with disabilities, then such payments can amount to up to 48 thousand hryvnia for each relevant employee,” explained Deputy Minister of Economy Tatyana Berezhnaya.
