Ignat emphasized that Ukraine does not produce anti-aircraft missiles, and constantly receives them from partners from different countries.
Speaker of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat commented on the words of the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Naev that missiles for air defense systems will only be enough for several massive Russian attacks on Ukraine. Obviously, we are talking about the shelling on December 29 and January 2.
“Well, of course, but what’s new here? It’s always been like this, last year, in the summer, and now! Partners provide missiles as needed, I would even say here, out of urgent need! Of course, anti-aircraft missiles are in short supply for us goods, both Soviet – for the S-300 and Buk-M1, and Western ones. We do not produce them and constantly receive them from partners from different countries. Or someone thinks that in Ukraine it is worth setting up warehouses for storing Western anti-aircraft missiles, which will certainly become a priority target for the enemy?!” – he wrote on Facebook.
Ignat noted that Russian propaganda has already “destroyed a million such warehouses,” as well as airplanes. He emphasized that nothing extraordinary is happening – “the enemy is gradually trying to deplete our air defense, forcing us to waste precious ammunition with such massive attacks.”
“If anyone hasn’t noticed, the invaders do this every day and every night. They also use up road missiles, which they send directly from the assembly line to carriers. We fight back! And we don’t forget to remind our partners every time of this constant – “for several attacks”! – “a fool gets rich with thoughts,” they hope the West will leave Ukraine alone with them! This has already happened. Let’s keep the line!” – summed up the speaker of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks on Ukraine
On December 29, 2023, Russian occupation forces launched a massive missile strike on Ukraine for the first time in a long time.
Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Poltava, Lvov, Kharkov, Nikolaev, Odessa, Zaporozhye regions. Dozens of people became victims of that attack – in Kyiv alone, according to the latest data, 32 people died.
On January 2, the Russians repeated a massive rocket attack. True, then the main blow fell on Kharkov, Kyiv and the Kyiv region. That day, the enemy fired 10 Daggers at once, as well as other missiles. All X-47M2s were destroyed.
