According to Andrei Demchenko, the number of attempts to cross the border using fake documents has recently increased.
Employees of the State Border Service of Ukraine (SBSU) have the right to request from a person liable for military service documents from the Territorial Acquisition Center (TCC), which should contain information about a deferment from conscription for the possibility of traveling abroad. State Border Guard Service speaker Andrei Demchenko announced this during the telethon.
According to him, border guards work within the framework of the legislation on border crossings, including the rules in force during martial law.
“Recently, we have seen an increase in the number of attempts to cross the border using fake documents, falsified documents, or when the purpose of a person’s trip does not correspond to the norm by which it is allowed to cross the border,” Demchenko noted.
He clarified that some people partially use forged and falsified documents and carefully check the conditions for traveling abroad, including the right to demand from employees documents from the TCC, military registration documents, which, among other things, contain a mark on deferment from conscription.
Therefore, Demchenko advises those liable for military service to update their data in the TCC and military registration documents in order to be able to cross the border. In addition, they must have a deferment note.
