The Kremlin is already preparing its information operations with the support of China.
In 2024, elections will be held in dozens of countries around the world, and Russia will certainly try to influence the voting results in them. This was stated by Jamie Rubin, head of the US Department of State’s disinformation department, writes Euractiv.
He noted that this year, in particular, elections will take place in Great Britain, Austria, Slovakia and Georgia, as well as elections to the European Parliament. Russia will attempt to conduct “information operations” aimed at turning public opinion in Europe against Ukraine during these votes.
According to Rubin, Russia and China are now making efforts around the world to pass off their state propaganda as supposedly independent journalists.
“Russia hopes that the number of elections in Europe this year can change what has been an excellent coalition and disciplined opposition to its war. We believe that the Russians will conduct information operations throughout Europe to try to change opinion about Ukraine during this election season ” said Rubin.
Russian threat in Europe

Against this background, it became known that the Alliance plans to conduct large-scale military exercises involving 90 thousand military personnel. These will be the largest such maneuvers in decades. Some are already calling them preparations for World War III.
