Geolocation footage showed that the Russian occupiers had advanced in the area of Kupyansk and Kremennaya.
The Russian occupiers advanced along the Kupyansk-Svatovo-Kremennaya line and captured the village of Krokhmalnoye, 20 km northwest of Svatovo.
This is stated in a new report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Geolocation footage showed that the Russian occupiers had advanced in the area of Kupyansk and Kremennaya. In addition, positional battles continue northeast of Kupyansk in the area of Sinkovka and Petropavlovka.
According to analysts, units of the 1st Guards Tank Army of Russia (Western Military District (ZVO)) are advancing in the Kupyansk direction, and units of the 20th Combined Arms Army (ZVO) are advancing in the Liman direction.
The report states that a representative of the Ukrainian forces in the Liman direction said that the occupiers were advancing with infantry supported by armored vehicles in the Liman direction. The spokesman said that a large number of Russian tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored vehicles were moving towards Liman.
ISW has not yet observed confirmation of large convoys of Russian equipment operating in the Kupyansky or Limansky directions, but will consider visual evidence of the existence of such convoys and the continued occurrence of Russian attacks as the main indicators of the beginning of occupier actions. “Notable successes of the Russians on the Kupyansk-Svatovo-Kremennaya line will also likely indicate larger offensive efforts in this area, given that positional battles were fought on this section of the front last year,” the analysts concluded.
War in Ukraine
The 110th separate mechanized brigade named after Coroner General Mark Bezruchko, which defends Avdiivka, for the first time released footage of one of the largest enemy assaults on the city, which took place at the end of October last year. They inform that for the fifth month in a row, starting from October 10, the enemy is trying to break through the Ukrainian defense line with frenzied, “simply wild forces.”
Moreover, on January 20, more than 70 clashes occurred along the front line.
