Liverpool easily made it to the 1/8 finals of the FA Cup.
On Sunday, January 28, the FA Cup 1/16 final match took place, in which Liverpool hosted Norwich.
The meeting of the teams took place at the Anfield stadium and ended in a crushing victory for the home team.
The scoring in the game was opened in the 16th minute – Reds midfielder Curtis Jones scored, assisted by James McConnell. Ben Gibson equalized in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute, Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez again put the team ahead. In the 53rd minute, Diogo Jota strengthened the lead, and 10 minutes later Virgil van Dijk made the score devastating. In the 69th minute, Norwich’s Borja Sainz pulled one back. But at the very end of the game, in the 90+5th minute, Ryan Gravenberch again made the difference by three goals.
