Alexander Krasyuk believes that Vladimir Klitschko can resume his career for a rematch with Tyson Fury.
Promoter Alexander Krasyuk, who represents the interests of Alexander Usik, spoke about the possible return of Vladimir Klitschko to professional boxing.
The functionary said that the legendary Ukrainian is in perfect shape and could easily resume his career. Krasyuk also noted that the only opponent for whom Vladimir can return to the ring is Tyson Fury, with whom Klitschko Jr. never received a rematch.
“Wladimir Klitschko is no longer a boy, but still in perfect shape. And there is enough fire in his heart to fight. But he has only one motivation. This is the same man who received a cut the other day.
There is a matter with him that we did not finish when he withdrew from the rematch with Vladimir specified in the contract,” Krasyuk said during a stream on Instagram.
Recall that Wladimir Klitschko lost to Tyson Fury in 2015 by unanimous decision. Their rematch was supposed to take place in June 2016, but it was postponed several times due to alleged injuries to the “Gypsy King.”
In October 2016, Fury voluntarily renounced his championship titles due to his inability to defend them due to psychological problems, depression and drug problems. Thus, the rematch never took place.
Vladimir Klitschko fought his last fight on April 29, 2017 against Anthony Joshua. The fight ended with the Briton winning by technical knockout in the 11th round.
In total, Klitschko Jr. fought 69 fights during his career. His record includes 64 victories and five defeats. Vladimir held the WBO (2000-2003, 2008-2015), IBF (2006-2015), IBO (2006-2015) and WBA (2011-2015) titles.
Wladimir Klitschko holds the record for most heavyweight title opponents defeated with 23, breaking the record held by Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali.
