Chisora believes that Fury will not be able to properly prepare for the fight and will ask for a postponement again.
Famous boxer Dereck Chisora shared his opinion on the postponement of the fight for the absolute world champion title between Tyson Fury and Alexander Usik.
According to the Briton, the “Gypsy King” could again disrupt the fight against the Ukrainian, since due to the cut he will not be able to spar during the training camp.
“The cut is pretty deep, but these things happen. They postponed the fight, but it could happen again because you can’t go into a fight like that. Fury will have to be careful and stay away from everything. He won’t be able to do anything. He’ll train, but will not be able to conduct sparring,” Boxing News Twitter quoted Chisora as saying.
Let us remind you that the Usyk-Fury fight was supposed to take place on February 17 of this year in Saudi Arabia, but the Briton was injured during sparring in a training camp and the fight was postponed to May 18, 2024.
Please note that if the match fails again, the “Gypsy King” will be fined a large sum and replaced with another opponent. The organizers announced this after setting a new date for the fight.
Let us add that the winner of the Usyk-Fury fight will become the first absolute world heavyweight champion in the 21st century and will receive a special belt, which will be decorated with gold and silver, and the inscription “World Heawyweight Undisputed Champion” will be written in letters.
