Timothy Bradley shared his opinion about the injury of Briton Tyson Fury.
Former world champion in the 1st welterweight and welterweight categories Timothy Bradley spoke out about the postponement of the fight for the title of absolute world champion between Tyson Fury and Alexander Usik.
According to the famous American boxer, the “Gypsy King” is close to being on the verge of retiring from his career.
“This might be the fall or the end of Tyson Fury. It smells like something to me. I smell shit – that’s what I smelled. If you look at this video, it was filmed on a Samsung or something like that, because the quality was bad. It looks disgusting.
If you look at it in slow motion, did that elbow, which seemed thrown on purpose, hit Tyson Fury in the eye? No. The blow connected with Fury’s jaw. I smell some kind of setup. I see a cut. I understand that it happened. But perhaps this video was staged. I understand that there is a cut and anything can happen, but this elbow seems damn intentional.
I don’t think cutting will play a role. It seems to me that the fight will take place,” Boxing Insider quotes Bradley as saying.
Let us remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury was supposed to take place on February 17, 2024, but the Briton was injured in the training camp and the fight was postponed to May 18 of this year.
It is worth noting that Timothy Bradley is not the first boxer to suspect Tyson Fury of lying. Earlier, former super middleweight world champion Carl Froch doubted the veracity of the “Gypsy King’s” words.
Let us add that for the second time Fury will no longer be able to reschedule the fight against Usik. The organizers of the fight said that if the Briton is unable to fight on May 18, then a replacement will be found for him. Tyson himself will be fined 10 million euros.
