On February 11 in Kharkov, the national flag will be lowered on government buildings and the sound of entertainment music will be prohibited.
February 11 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kharkov. This is stated in the corresponding order of the mayor of Kharkov Igor Terekhov.
It is noted that the corresponding decision was made “in order to honor the memory of those killed during a missile attack on the civilian infrastructure of the city of Kharkov on February 9, 2024.”
“As a sign of mourning for the dead, lower the national flag of Ukraine with a black ribbon on buildings and structures of local governments, enterprises, institutions and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership. Prohibit the sound of entertainment music in markets, trade establishments, public catering establishments, etc.” , – the order notes.
The latest Russian attack on Kharkov
On the evening of February 9, the Russians attacked Ukraine with suicide bombers. In particular, the occupiers launched suicide bombing drone attacks on Kharkov. Three drones hit the Nemyshlyansky district of the city. As a result, a critical infrastructure facility was destroyed and a large-scale fire broke out. More than 15 residential buildings were destroyed.
Later it became known that seven people had already become victims of the Russian attack on Kharkov. Among the dead was an entire family – children aged 7 and 4 years, a 6-month-old baby and their parents. In addition, a paralyzed husband and his wife were burned alive as a result of the fire.
