President Vladimir Zelensky on Sunday, February 25, plans to hold a conference with the participation of the military-political leadership, the Prime Minister, and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state, Sergei Nikiforov, on air at the national telethon.
According to him, foreign leaders are scheduled to visit Ukraine on February 24.
“For obvious reasons, I cannot say who exactly it will be, but we expect that these will not just be symbolic visits of support, but will also have practical results,” Nikiforov said.
Also, as the press secretary of the head of state said, an online meeting with the participation of Ukraine and the Group of Seven will take place on this day.
“And on February 25, we are preparing something special. This will be a conference, an honest conversation about our path further, our path in 2024 and beyond. All the top speakers from the government, the military-political leadership, the prime minister, the chairman of the Supreme Rada, SBU, Main Intelligence Directorate, Ministry of Strategic Industry. There will be the first lady, there will be the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Office of the President and of course the president himself. We will talk about various aspects of the future of Ukraine, the future of our army, its development, the introduction of modern technologies, integration into the EU and NATO” , – said Nikiforov.
The topics of conversation will also be restoration of the mental and physical health of Ukrainians, support for business and all aspects of the country’s life in the future.
“Following the results of this conference, the President of Ukraine will take the floor and hold his press conference. He will outline his vision of the identified topics and answer the main questions,” the speaker added.
Anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine
On February 24, 2023, on the anniversary of Russia’s large-scale invasion, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Ukrainians. He began this day with words about the indestructibility of Ukrainians and expressed confidence that 2023 will be the year of victory over the aggressor.
“On February 24, millions of us made a choice: not a white flag, but a blue and yellow flag. Not an escape, but a meeting. Meeting the enemy. Resistance and struggle,” the president emphasized.
He noted that the year of struggle was a year of pain, regret, faith and unity.
