Deputies of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic do not plan to appeal to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin regarding the admission of the republic to the Russian Federation. Speaker of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine Andrey Yusov said this in a commentary to Ukrainskaya Pravda.
“According to our data, the information that on February 28 the Transnistrian “authorities” will allegedly ask the Russian Federation to join them to its membership has not yet been confirmed,” the intelligence officer said.
At the same time, according to the publication’s source, the information that is now widely discussed in the media is part of the internal political process, as well as certain pressure from the unrecognized Transnistria in order to protect economic interests.

The first meeting in 18 years will take place in Transnistria on February 28. The next day, a message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is planned.
According to Major of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yegor Checherinda, Pridnestrovie may announce its accession to the Russian Federation.
Meanwhile, the Third Assault Brigade offered “help” to Moldova in connection with the “annexation” of Transnistria to the Russian Federation.
